Course Orientation Remuneration Policy

#

Purpose: To ensure consistency and fairness in how teachers claim remuneration for conducting course orientation sessions.

Policy Points #

  • Only one teacher is eligible to claim remuneration for the orientation.
  • A maximum of 1 hour may be claimed for conducting the orientation.
  • The teacher who conducts the orientation should claim this 1 hour. If that same teacher continues into the regular class immediately afterward, they may claim remuneration for the entire lecture duration (orientation + class).
  • Other teachers are welcome to join the orientation/introductory session to support students, or to connect with students separately during their own lecture. However, no remuneration should be claimed for the orientation by these teachers, regardless of how long they stay in the meeting. If they conduct a class after the orientation, they may claim remuneration only for their own lecture duration.
  • For N5 batches, the Reformers Team conducts the orientation. In this case:
    • The class teacher does not need to claim any remuneration for the orientation, regardless of time spent in the meeting.
    • Remuneration may be claimed only for the regular class conducted afterward, if applicable.

Applicability #

This policy applies to all courses, including:

  • Internship
  • Regular courses
  • Short courses
  • Workshops
  • Grammar-a-thons / Kanji-a-thons
  • Any other course designed and executed in the future
